This year we’ve taken Bachata to another level by dedicating more dancing and more education to Bachata. In essence, we’ve created a full Bachata event within VIS 12.

The Midnight Bachata Socials are sexy sensual Bachata parties that take place every night starting at midnight. Last year the dancefloor was packed. Also, since last year’s Bachata workshops were packed we decided to give you a full day of Bachata education with some of the best in the business. Still want more Bachata?

VIS 12 is launching an education format that’s miles ahead of the competition. Designed in collaboration with some of the world’s best dancers and drawing from extensive attendee feedback, Salsa U and Bachata U provide you with a specialized education experience.
Specifically, you’ll…
- … have full immersion with each instructor.
- … actually learn the moves right then and there.
- … practice over and over again in supervised practice time.
- … be able to move at your own pace with two levels.
Saturday’s Salsa U is a 7-hour day focused on taking your Salsa dancing to the next level. Modules include styling, connection, footwork, partnerwork, and more.
Sundays’s Bachata U is a 7-hour day focused on taking your Bachata dancing to the next level. Modules include musicality, different Bachata styles, footwork, partnerwork, and more.

KICK OFF THE FESTIVAL AT AN AMAZING VENUE
Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Campanelli will be launching his brand new album, tons of international dancers will be already in Vancouver ready for the festival, and we’re flying out many of the artists early to dance with you.
All this takes place at Caprice Nightclub, one of Vancouver’s hottest venues.

Saturday March 3
9 pm – 4 am
Without a doubt, the classiest and most complete evening of the Salsafestival. There’s 75 minutes of incredible shows featuring the best dancers from around the world – head over to our artist page to see the lineup.
This is followed by superstar Jimmy Bosch live in concert at our event! He’ll be playing all his dancefloor favourites including Otra Oportunidad, Cha Cha Gabriel, and many many more.
Then of course there’s the 2 ballrooms with our international DJs and Midnight Bachata Social hosted by Troy & Jorjet.
And finally, this is a 50s Classic Theme party, which means you should dress up like there’s no tomorrow. Gentlemen are wearing tuxedos with a classic twist, ladies their hottest outfits in a 50s style.
On this night we offer a VIP option as well which includes open bar, reserved seating, and a private reception.
